Vermillion, close to everything far from ordinary.

Located along the bluffs of the Missouri River Valley, Vermillion has been around since 1877. Home to the University of South Dakota and the Vermillion Tanagers, we have a lively Historic Downtown District as well as a flourishing Cherry St Business District. This dynamic community is full of cultural opportunities and athletic events in the comfort of a small town.

Vermillion is more than just a college town – it's a neighborhood, and any good neighborhood comes with amenities for the locals and students. Our community always has so much to offer its residents.
